By removing the labour costs of assembling cabinets, the price of the product drops significantly.
Sourcing locally keeps transport costs down.
No bulky packaging. The average price of a typical retail cabinet is 20% more expensive due to specialized cardboard packaging.

Due to the a’la carte nature of our product, individual item prices do not accurately reflect the final price of a complete unit. Therefore we are not able to provide a price list. We are happy to produce an estimate for units that you need which will include all the items necessary to build and install each unit.

Like most professional Canadian cabinetmakers, we make our cabinet boxes out of TFL Board, not plywood. In the production of European style residential cabinets, advanced Canadian Thermally Fused Laminate Board is a superior product to plywood in almost every respect. This is especially true when compared to Asian import plywood which is poor quality, environmentally questionable and very susceptible to humidity changes. Canada makes the most advanced TFL Board in the world. It is strong, light weight, dimensionally stable, superior at holding fasteners and edges, environmentally friendly, and has a far more durable face than plywood. It is also made under much stricter production standards and at far greater volumes than plywood, making the price more economical. The face layer of plywood breaks down and scratches easily and that residue ends up on your dishes, whereas the face of TFL Board is far more scratch, water, heat and chemical resistant. This is the most important factor in the ultimate performance of kitchen cabinets.
Under Canadian Architectural Millwork Standards, it is not considered acceptable to lay up fine laminates or veneers on plywood due to the instability of plywood cores that cause problems like wrinkling, projection and delamination.
-
Most Asian manufacturers lack access to the technology and proper forest products to produce Advanced TFL Board, therefore it is cheaper for them to use their low tech domestic plywood manufacturers, than to import Advanced TFL Board. Naturally they try to market this by asserting the common old school misconception among people outside our trade, that plywood is a superior product. And perhaps it was in 1965. But not now. Except in very specific applications, Canadian TFL Board is absolutely a superior product for residential cabinets.
-
That is true. All of the cabinet sides come universally drilled to accept hinge mounting plates on either side of the cabinet. Therefore, each cabinet has the possibility to swing either left or right.
-
We offer handle drilling jigs for purchase.
-
Our premium soft-close drawer boxes do not utilize a drawer box front. On shaker style doors, the 1/4” center panel is not thick enough to mount a handle to. To ensure the longest life possible, we highly recommend installing the handles on the top rail of drawer faces.
